Services for Charles Allen will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 3 p. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. John Branning officiating.  Burial will follow in Sandtown Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 10 a. m. until time of service.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Mr. Allen, 71, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, at his home.  He was a native of the Bluff Springs Community in Kemper County and longtime resident of the Bond Community in Neshoba County.  He was owner/operator of Charles Allen Tree Planting Service.  He was a member of the Still Springs Hunting Club in Kemper County.  Mr. Allen was a member of Sandtown United Methodist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Judy Allen of Philadelphia; daughter, Lea Ann Anderson (Brian) of Vicksburg; son, Thomas Allen of Philadelphia; grandsons, Brady Anderson, Eli Anderson, Conner Allen, and Whyatt Day; brother, Lester Allen, Jr. (Yvonne) of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Sue Allen of Philadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.   Mr. Allen was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Bessie Allen; sister, Jean McDonald; and brother, James Allen. Pallbearers are Brady Anderson, Eli Anderson, Chris Burt, Keith Lillis, Mike Allen, Randy Allen, Davis Fulton, Steve Burt, Conner Allen, and Whyatt Day.  Honorary pallbearers are Rick Allen, Robert McDonald, AJ McDonald, Harold Phillips, Jeff Burt, Larry Rush, Patrick Burt, Craig Martin, Joey Irby, Taylor Irby, JR Irby, Peyton Irby, Will Martin, Seth Martin, Scott McGee, John Jackson, and Greg Bishop.
