Funeral services for Yvonne Allen will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Daryl Johnston, Bro. Tommy Jennings and Bro. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in West Kemper Cemetery in DeKalb, MS. Visitation will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 11 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen, 85 of Philadelphia, died Saturday, June 17, 2023. Yvonne was a native of Moscow Community of Kemper County and a resident of Philadelphia for the past seven years. She was retired from South Central Bell as a telephone operator. Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Methodist Church of Philadelphia and attended her childhood home church West Kemper Baptist. Survivors include her sons, Randy Allen (Cathy) and Rick Allen (Angela); grandchildren, Laura Massey (Drew), Katie Pearson (Payton), Brooke Swann (Christopher) and Brittany Boissean; great-grandchildren, Mary Allen Massey, Andrew Massey, Olivia Massey, John Owen Pearson and Sawyer Swann; siblings, Peggy Hesse, Katherine Goodwin, Louise Hudnell, Mack Vick and Billy Vick. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Allen, Jr.; parents, Lester and Lorene Vick; siblings, Jerri McWilliams and Lester Vick, Jr. Pallbearers are Michael Vick, Jeff McWilliams, Jerry McWilliams, Harry McWilliams, Jason Jolly, Micky Vick, Drew Massey and Payton Pearson. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be made to West Kemper Cemetery Fund or the charity of your choice.
