W.H. "Shorty” Sims

Graveside Service for W.H. "Shorty" Sims will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Good Hope Cemetery with Bro. David Richardson officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until departure at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Sims, 81, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, November 3, 2024. Shorty was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1961. He went to work for Weyerhaeuser after graduation and retired after many years of working for them. He enjoyed his animals. Survivors include his sister, Hazel Louise Beers of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Virginia Fanning and Donna Scowden; nephews, Robert Sims and Mike Beers. Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents, Elige and Fannie Sims; sister, Lula Mae Brown; brothers, Thurman and Levern Sims.
