Graveside services for Eddie “Wayne” Callahan will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Hope Cemetery with Dr. Mike Carr officiating. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Callahan, 73, of Philadelphia died Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Wayne was born on June 17, 1947 in Philadelphia and graduated from Philadelphia High School and East Central Community College. He served his country proudly in Thailand in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a very patriotic man. He worked for US Motors and retired from MDOT and Wal-Mart. He loved his family, country, an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and his Lord Jesus. Mr. Callahan was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survived by his wife, Rose Callahan; six children, Josh Callahan (Jamie), Colt Callahan, Corby Callahan (Casey), Deshea Ming, Scott Fulton (Jo Beth), Nikki Fulton; 11 grandchildren, Sydney, Peyton and Kinleigh Callahan, Deena Scott Adkins (Hagen), Anna Claire Scott, Zach and Cameron Fulton, Courtney Holley, Kaitlyn Lee (Dakarri), Evyn McDaniel (Heath), and Jake Anthony; four great-grandchildren, Beckham, Bencyn, Harper, Korbyn; siblings, Kathy Curtis (Andy), Felicia Walley (Rick), Gina Smith (Richard) and Tommy Callahan; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Mr. Callahan was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Callahan; mother, Edna Mae Callahan; brother, Jim Callahan. Pallbearers are Justin Walley, Peyton Callahan, Zach Fulton, Gerald Griffin, Jr., Landon Walley, and Scott Fulton.
