Wade Braxton Riggs

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from Cedarlawn Cemetery with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Mr. Riggs, 82, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away to his eternal home on March 24, 2021. He was born on February 4, 1939, and grew up in Hamilton, AL. He graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama and served two years in the Army before beginning his professional career. Wade worked for the US Space Program, the FAA, the Corp of Engineers; and he retired as the Head of Engineering for Gulf States Paper Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Braxton "Doc" Riggs and Exie Riggs Shotts. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Russell Riggs of Tuscaloosa, AL; son, Russell Braxton Riggs (Alexis) of Reno, NV; daughter, Kerri Riggs Eubanks (Trent) of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Braxton and Evelyn Eubanks of Madison, MS; brother, Wayne Lee Riggs of Hamilton, AL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northport Baptist Church, Samaritan's Purse, or charity of your choice.
