Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Charles Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and at 8:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 until service time. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Gully, 81 of DeKalb MS, died Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. Tommy was born and raised in Kemper County and was a graduate of Lynville High School. He was retired from KCS Railroad and was a cattle farmer. Mr. Gully was a member, deacon and adult Sunday school teacher of Bluff Springs Baptist Church. He was a member of Gideon's International, Kemper Camp, board member of DeKalb Farm Bureau and Kemper County Cattlemen's Association, Summerville Lodge #64 where he served as past secretary, Shriner's, York Rite Bodies and a member of 238th Air National Guard. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Linda Agent Gully of DeKalb, MS; son-in-law, David Gibson, Tunica, MS; grandson, William Gibson, of Southhaven, MS; granddaughter, Anna Gibson, of Starkville, MS; sister, Donna Burmaster (Gene) of Ethelsville, AL; brother-in-law-, Jamie Dees, of North Carolina; a host of nieces and nephews and their families. Mr. Gully was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonia Gully Gibson; mother, Grace Barnett Gully, father, John T. Gully, Sr.; sister, Diane Gully Dees; and two nephews.
