A private family graveside service will be held from Old Pearl Valley Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Waggoner officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Gamblin, 79, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, August 15, 2021, at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Arlington Community of Neshoba County. He was a retired logging contractor and owner of Thomas Gamblin Logging. He was an avid chef and loved to cook anything from BBQ to fried fish to peanut brittle, but loved his family most of all. Mr. Gamblin was a member and deacon of the Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He served in Korea in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joan Gamblin of Philadelphia; daughter, Brandy Gamblin of Meridian; son, Davis Gamblin (Robin) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Abe and Fent Mars, Chase and C. K. Gamblin, and Cody Thomas; sister, Mary Charles Harrison of Philadelphia; three nephews and their families. Mr. Gamblin was preceded in death by daughter, Kim Mars; and parents, Earl and Verna Lee Gamblin. Pallbearers are Abe Mars, Fent Mars, Chase Gamblin, C. K. Gamblin, Mark Harrison, and Charles Harrison.
