A graveside service for Thelma Ruth Brown Watkins will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2020, from the Golden Grove Cemetery in Neshoba County with Bro. Mike Pilgrim officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home on Saturday, December 5, 2020. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Watkins, 81, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Anderson Regional Medical Hospital in Meridian. She was a native of Atmore, Alabama and a resident of Neshoba County for the past 18 years. Ms. Watkins was a member of the Philadelphia branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include daughters, Lisa Renee Warren Murphy of Philadelphia, MS, and Cynthia Ruth Warren Quick (George) of Indian Springs, NV; sons, Donald A. Cunningham (Pam) of Stratton, MS, and Jay W. Warren, Jr. (Donna) of El Reno, OK; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Jackson of Milton, FL, Pearl Johnson of Flomaton, AL; brothers, Albert Brown of Philadelphia, MS, Elbert Brown of Flomaton, AL, Freddy Brown of Jay, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Warren; parents, William O. and Myrtle Brown; sisters, Estelle Parker, Ethyl McKinley, Jessie May Smith; brothers, Thomas Brown and Mabry Gene Brown.
