Funeral services for Ms. Terry Card will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 3:00 pm from McClain- Hays Chapel with Rev. Michael Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Cooks Chapel. Visitation will be held Wednesday Prior to service at 1:00 pm at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Ms. Card, 68, of Philadelphia died Thursday, January 4, 2024. Terri was happy with and loved her children, family, shopping and gardening. She never had grandchildren of her own, but she had several children from close friends the she loved like her own. Ms. Card was a member of Cooks Chapel. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jane Cumberland of Philadelphia; son, Lee Card (Stacy) of Philadelphia; one niece, Jaime Lawrence (Jeremy) of Ashville, N.C.’ one great-nephew, Landon Lawrence of Ashville, N.C. Ms. Card was preceded in death by husband, Delano Card; parents, Bobby and Lovis Dees; sister, Lynda Faye Chesney. Pallbearers are, Casey Kirkland, Adam Myers, Brad Murphy, Tommy Murphy, Joey Edwards and Jeremy Lawrence. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made the Philadelphia Police Department or the Philadelphia Fire Department.
