Services for Sylvia L. Ryals will be held Sunday, October 20, 2019, at 2 p. m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Neshoba County with Rev. Tony Linley and Rev. Larry Savell officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday October 19, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays and again one hour prior to the service at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Mars Hill Cemetery . McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ryals, 92, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, October 17, 2019. A native of Union City, TN, she was a resident of Neshoba County since 1974. She retired from The Citizens Bank in Philadelphia. Mrs. Ryals was a member of Beatline Baptist Church and a past member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Jensen (Jan) of Austin, TX, and Jane Ryals Badon of Fairhope, AL; two sons, Rev. Ben McDaniel (Barbara) of Philadelphia, MS, and Del McDaniel, Sr. (Beverly) of Sylvester, GA; 11 grandchildren, Mark Jensen, Chris Jensen, Dawn Chyten, Kelly Morris, Erin Sampley, John McDaniel, Kim Collins, Del McDaniel, Jr., Emilie McDaniel, Sarah Scott and Tyler Presley; 18 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Sampley, Noah Sampley, Colby Morris, Hailey Morris, Casey Morris, Jud McDaniel, Jack McDaniel, Abbie McDaniel, Emma McDaniel, Colton McDaniel, Beau McDaniel, Luke McDaniel, Caden Scott, Courtney Chyten, Jessica Jensen, Heather Martin, Cameron Jensen and Meagan Jensen; one great-great-grandchild on the way, Sawyer Morris; a host of nieces and nephews; and her Citizens Bank, Mars Hill Baptist Church, and Beatline Baptist Church families. Mrs. Ryals was preceded in death by husband, James M. Ryals; parents, John and Muriel Howard; step-grandson, Russell Badon; great-grandson, Michael Preite; brother, Charles Howard. The families would like to thank Sta-Home Health & Hospice; and a special thanks to Marquita Warren, Kim Cumberland and Bro. Phillip Williams.
