Services for Mrs. Sylvia Annette McPhail will be held at 2:00 pm , Saturday , June 4, 2022 at New County Line Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Rev. Dudley Winstead and Rev. Daniel Winstead will officiate. Visitation will be held at 12 noon till service time on Saturday at the church. Mrs. Sylvia Annette McPhail died on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Riverbirch Assisted Living. Mrs. Sylvia was a native and longtime resident of Leake County. She graduated from Edinburg High School. She worked at Walnut Grove Manufacturing until she retired. After retiring she went to work part time as a nurse’s aide for Madden Memories. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and most anything outdoors. She loved spending time with family, cooking and canning. She loved attending her church, her church family and enjoyed the singings at church. She was a member of New County Line Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Scotty McPhail (Tammy) of Sebastopol; grandchildren, Josh “Boo” Cumberland (Paige), Taylor Loper (Jake), Jenna McPhail; great grandchildren, Kynzee Rae Loper, Kylan Mathew Loper, Sylvia Rogue Cumberland; sisters, Faye Copeland of Carthage, Doris White of Philadelphia; brother, Harold Moore (Kathy) of Philadelphia ; a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, Ray McPhail; daughter, Becky McPhail; parents, Clifton and Annie Moore; grandson, Anthony Savell. Pallbearers, Josh Cumberland, Jonathan Tutor, Gaige Tutor, Steve Stone, Jake Loper, Justin Hillman, Larry Winstead and Danny Wilcher. Honorary pallbearers, Andy Kelly, Rusty Wilcher and James McPhail.
