Services for Sylvia F. Franklin will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Keith Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Franklin, 84, of Union, died Thursday, January 21, 2021, at J. G. Alexander Nursing Home in Union. A native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, she was a graduate of Linwood School in 1954, and a homemaker for most of her life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family very much. Mrs. Franklin was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Pam Winstead (David) of Union; sons, Billy Franklin (Ruth) of Murray, KY, Terry Franklin of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ashley Ryan (Mitch), Jennifer Cook (Andrew), Michelle Alawine (Tony), Caitlin Cauley (Kevin), Neenah Coward (Lex), Celeste Franklin, Nicole Henley (James), Bethane Holland (Steryot); sixteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rose Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clifford F. Franklin; parents, Exo and Navis Johnson; brothers, Daniel and David Johnson. Pallbearers are Andrew Cook, Samuel Alawine, James Henley, Lex Coward, Greg Johnson and Brant Winstead.
