Graveside services for Mr. Stanley Langdon will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until departure time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Mr. Langdon, 69, of Meridian died Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Stan was born in Baltimore, MD and graduated from Kenwood High School in 1973. He worked in residential construction and as an EMT. After moving to MS, he worked as a sewing machine factory mechanic, oil rig laborer, railroad worker, house builder and carpenter.
Among his greatest joys were listening to Rock ‘n Roll, such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and the Cars, building houses, watching the New Orleans Saints, fishing with his dad on the bass boat, and NASCAR races. His favorite song was “Simple Man”.
Survivors include his sisters, Joyce DeLuca (Gary) and Sandy Humphrey; nieces, Tina Houghton (Gene) and Rochelle Wilkinson (Bill); a host of great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Langdon was preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Dorothy Langdon; sister Judy Langdon; brother-in-law, Stan.
