Stacy Mowdy

Services for Stacy Mowdy will be held Monday, August 13, 2018, at 10 a. m. from Bethsaida Baptist Church in Neshoba County with Rev. Billy James officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 6 p. m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Mowdy, 68, died Friday, August 10, 2018, in Meridian.  A native of Philadelphia, MS, he lived in Meridian most of his adult life. Mr. Mowdy served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Slay Steel in Meridian. Survivors include sisters, Ann Geerts of Georgia, Renee Parrish of Brandon, MS; brothers, John Mowdy (Marty) of Brownsville, TX, Milton Mowdy (Brenda) of DeKalb, MS; aunts, Myrvene Shannon and Christine Truhett, both of Union; and Linda Mowdy of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Mr. Mowdy was preceded in death by his parents, W. M. and Onita Mowdy; aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Sistrunk, William Parrish, Carl Mayo, Greg Moore, Joe Williams and Marshall Winstead.
