Funeral services for Shirley Elizabeth Hardy will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2pm, from McClain-Hays Chapel with interment to follow at the North Bend Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12pm until service time on Friday at McClain-Hays.

Shirley was born on April 14, 1948 and passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the age of 76.

She worked at Spartus, American Greetings, and Garans. She was a talented artist who loved gardening, sewing, and other creative hobbies.

A woman of strong faith, Shirley devoted her life to serving the Lord. She taught Sunday school for many years at North Bend UPC. Later she attended New Zion UPC and Four Corners Chapel Christian Church with her brother.

Shirley had a gift for making everyone feel loved and valued, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and faith will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her beloved brother and best friend, Walter Hardy of Philadelphia; as well as many cousins and friends who became like family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Biddie Lin Hardy.

Pallbearers will be Rayburn Robinson, Derrick Hobson, Justin Hobson, Mike Thrasher, Jamie Warren and John Pat Fortenberry.
