Shirley Faye Creekmore Blalock

Services for Shirley Faye Creekmore Blalock will be held Monday, January 6, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. from Corinth Baptist Church in Kemper County with Rev. Allen Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in DeKalb, MS.  Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00 noon until time of service.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Blalock, 79, of Meridian, died Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital in Meridian. She was a native and longtime resident of Kemper County.  Mrs. Blalock was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Kemper County. Survivors include daughter, Mary Ann Blalock of West, MS; sons, Robert Patrick Blalock (Krystal) of DeKalb, MS, Scott Blalock (Vicky) of Little Rock, MS, Wayne Blalock of Meridian, MS, Randy Steven Blalock of DeKalb, MS, and Michael Lee Blalock of Philadelphia, MS; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Pace and Rita Weir, both of Meridian, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Blalock was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Blalock; and son, Tony Marshall Blalock. Pallbearers are Wesley Moorehead, George Massey, Eddie Massey, Roger Hagen, Lance Blalock, Wayne Wiggins, and Johnny Burrage.
