Graveside services for Sheryl R. Cheek will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 12 noon at Bluff Springs Cemetery in Kemper County with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Cheek, 73, of Preston, died Saturday, June 26, 2021. She was born in Florida and moved to Preston, MS in 1982. She worked for Pearl River Resort for 20 plus years until her retirement. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and she loved to knit, various crafts, travel and her favorite dog, Channelle. Mrs. Cheek was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Eldridge of Philadelphia, MS and Joy Kilpatrick (Rick) of Lewisburg, TN; son, Chris Cheek (Lisa) of Preston, MS; brothers, Dennis and Billy Dean of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cheek is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cheek; parents, Barney and Madeline Dean. Pallbearers are Dillon Cheek, Brian Cheek, Jordan Eldridge, Michael Hull, Trace Cumberland and Bob Kirkland.
