Shelby Breland

Services for Mrs. Shelby Ward Breland will be held Monday, June 7, 2021, at 1:00 p. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Mike Carr and Rev. Mike Miles officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Breland, 84, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at her residence. She was a Neshoba County native and graduated from East Neshoba High School in 1956. She also attended East Central Junior College. Mrs. Breland was a lifetime member of Trinity Baptist Church where she served as pianist for over forty years. Survivors include sons, Steve Breland and his wife Pam; Andy and his wife Angie; Mike Miles and his wife Denise, all of Philadelphia; grandchildren, their spouses, and great-grandchildren; Jacob and his wife Logan, KB and Burkes Breland; Caleb and his wife Jamie Lee, and Poppy Breland; Erin, her husband Austin, and Emma Bonds; Drew and his wife Hollie, Maddi James, Beau, and Tripp Breland; Sarah and her husband Thad Skinner; Hannah and her husband Paul, and Gray McMillan; and Taylor Miles; sister, Gail Ward Long of Union; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Breland was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; son, Kevin “Squirrel” Breland; parents, T. C. Ward and Delma Smith Moorehead; and sister, Kay Ward Seale. Pallbearers are Jacob Breland, Caleb Breland, Drew Breland, Austin Bonds, Thad Skinner, and Mike Tinsley.
