A graveside service will be held for Scotty Anthony at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, from Morrow Cemetery with Bro. David Richardson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Anthony, 78, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his home. Born in Meridian, MS, he moved to Tuscaloosa during his early years and later moved to the Dixon Community. He began his employment with Cleveland Industries, and then started at Maxum for a short period. He then retired after thirty-three years of employment with Richardson Molding. He loved to hunt with his beagles, antique cars, listening to the Eagles, working in his yard, and cleaning up his truck. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was of Christian faith. Survivors include his wife, Lynn; daughters, Sandi Anthony, Candi (Ray) Cook; son, Matthew (Kirby) Anthony; sisters; Glenda (Raymon) Jones, Rachel Hudson; half-sisters, Wanda Hickey, Peggy Burnham; half-brother, George Anthony; grandchildren, Grant Cook, Lofton Anthony; several nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by parents, Quinton Anthony and Alma Zell Langford Herd.
