Sarah Winstead

Private graveside service for Sarah Winstead will be held Friday, April 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Callaway officiating. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Winstead , 89, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was a native of Leake County and a resident of Neshoba County for most of her life. She and her late husband owned and operated a community grocery store for a number of years before she retired. She enjoyed gardening and watching stuff grow. Mrs. Winstead was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as the church clerk for a number of years, she loved her church and her church family. Survivors include her son, Hugh Winstead of Philadelphia; sister, Carolyn H. Smith (Darrel) of Philadelphia; a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Winstead; parents, Hugh and Inell Horton.
