Sarah Wilcher

Funeral services for Sarah Wilcher will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Dudley Winstead and Rev. Kyle Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Carthage, MS. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. until service time Saturday, February 20, 2021 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wilcher, 90 of Philadelphia, MS died Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was a native and lifelong resident of Leake County and a graduate of Carthage High School. She worked for the Carthage Corporation as a seamstress and retired after 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family and attending church. Mrs. Wilcher was a member of New County Line Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Becky Barrett (Greg) of Edinburg; son, Pat Wilcher (Debra) of Edinburg; grandchildren, Patrick Wilcher (Valerie), Ben and Shelby Barrett; great-granddaughter, Lerah Wilcher; a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wilcher was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Wilcher; son, Gary Paul Wilcher; parents, A.L. and Cassielene Tucker; brother, Tommy Tucker. Pallbearers are, William Crenshaw, Howard Wilcher, Steve Adams, Ricky Adcock, Ben Adams and David Spears.
