Alice Barrett Humphries

Services for Sarah Alice Barrett Humphries will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at 12 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Jackie Strebeck officiating.  Burial will follow in the Herbert Baptist Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a. m.  until time of service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Humphries, 88, of Somerville, AL, died Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, AL.  She was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County and resident of Somerville, AL, for the past four years.  Mrs. Humphries was a member of Herbert Baptist Church in Neshoba County. Survivors include her son, Roy (Dianne) Barrett, Jr., of Somerville, AL; three grandchildren, Jason (Whitney) Barrett of Somerville, AL, Ryan (Zaria) Barrett of Somerville, AL, Kenny (Heather) Tolbert of Union, MS; great-grandchild, Samantha Tolbert of Philadelphia, MS; sister, Mary (Willie) Holmes of Starkville, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Humphries was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Roy Barrett, Sr., and second husband, Harry Humphries; daughter, Cynthia Tolbert; and grandson, Kevin Tolbert. Pallbearers are Jason Barrett, Ryan Barrett, Charles Barrett, Ronnie Williams, Raymond Bradley and Elmer Talbert.
