Graveside services for Sandra Carleen Weber Myhre will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. from Pinecrest Cemetery in DeKalb, MS. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Sandra Carleen Weber was born in Casper, Wyoming on Mother’s Day, May 14, 1944. Her parents were Carl and Norma Weber. She met the love of her life, Wayne Myhre, Sr. on a double date with his brother Glenn. Wayne would come down from Buffalo, Wyoming to see her. He joined the Navy and she married him and went to see the world. They were stationed in Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Texas, Virginia, then to Mississippi. She went to Nursing School in the early 1980’s after both of her children were out of high school. She went to Mattie Hersey Nursing School and then worked at Riley Hospital on the third shift. There she worked herself up to Nursing Supervisor. After leaving Riley Hospital, she worked for several home health agencies until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a devoted wife, mother, and caregiver. Sandy was a dear friend to all and never knew a stranger. She would offer her last dollar or the shirt off her back if it would help someone out. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Mamaw), great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and niece. Survivors include her sons, Wayne E. Myhre, Jr. (Tammy) of Meridian, MS and Greg Story (Wanda) of Bismark, ND; grandchildren, Kristin Nyholm (Adam), Andrea Holifield (Scott), Amanda Humphrey (Josh), Taylor Putt (Cody), Justin Story and George Stuckman; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Pfingsten and several nieces and nephews. Her dog Penny was her special companion and she lives with Wayne, Tammy and Maggie. Mrs. Myhre was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Norma Weber; husband, Wayne E. Myhre, Sr.; daughter, Tammy Lynn Jenkins; grandson, Wayne E. Myhre, III.
