Ruth Marie Burton

Services for Ruth Burton will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Frank Gail Burton officiating.  Burial will follow in Sandtown Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12 noon until time of service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Burton, 83, of Metairie, LA, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. She was a native of Hammond, LA, and resident of Metairie, LA, for over 50 years. Survivors include daughter, Cynthia Van Ess (Ronnie) of Kenner, LA; son, David Burton of Metairie, LA; one grandchild, Michael Van Ess; sister, Shirley Ippolito (Lewis) of Tickfall, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Harbour Burton in 2012; parents, Paul and Carrie Beyl, sisters, Helen Hart and Doris Threeton; and brother, Sonny Beyl.
