Russ Owen

Services for Russ Owen will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Vowell and Rev. Rusty Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Owen, 38, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at his residence. Russ was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  He was a 1999 graduate from Neshoba Central High School .  He received a Associate Degree from Meridian Community College and also attended Ole Miss.  He worked as a carpenter by trade. He loved hunting, fishing, and most sports.  Mr. Owen was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Karrah Owen of Philadelphia; daughter, Jade; step-daughters, Morgan and Harper; mother, Debra Yates (Stan) of Philadelphia; father, Roger Owen of Philadelphia; grandmother, Shelby Barnes of Philadelphia; brother, Chris Owen (Liz) of Philadelphia; niece, Miles Owen of Philadelphia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Preceded in death by his grandparents, Burdell Barnes, Gigi and Pop Owen; aunt Donna Maxwell. Pallbearers are Chris Posey, Chas McClain, Chris Webb, Jason Myers, Pete Willis, Jeremy Thomas, Landon Byars, Brian Clearman, Paul Houston and William Irons.
