Rupert "Sonny" Jenkins Jr.

Funeral Services for Rupert "Sonny" Jenkins Jr. will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Tim Vowell and Bro. Corbin Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Madden Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service.

Mr. Jenkins passed away on January 20, 2025 at his residence.

Sonny was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, MS. He attended Madden Schools and later went to work with the USDA as a poultry inspector. He was also a dedicated cattle farmer for the past 40 years. Sonny loved to read western novels. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and he will be missed by all.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his son, Rupert K. Jenkins. Grandchildren; Jamie, Josh and Sara and nine great grandchildren; sister, Alice Jane Gardner and nephews; Jay, Jon and Jed.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife Linda Mott Jenkins; granddaughter; Sunny Jenkins and parents Rupert and Jeffie Lee "Polly" Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be Jon Gardner, Jed Gardner, Josh Jenkins, Sutton Jenkins, and James Ivy.
