Funeral services for Ruby Stovall Kirkland will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel. Bro. Tim Vowell and Bro. Bryan Madison will be officiating with Bro. Tim Vowell leading opening prayer. Burial will follow in McLain Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Kirkland, 92, of Neshoba County died Friday, July 23, 2021. Ruby was born and raised in Kemper County and moved to Neshoba County 60 plus years ago. She married Herman Kirkland in 1945. She attended Shady Grove School and excelled at basketball. She dearly loved her family and loved to cook, gardening, working find a word puzzles and reading. Mrs. Kirkland was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Green of Summit; son, Jimmy Kirkland (Betty) of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Lovie Kirkland Thomas(John) of Philadelphia and LaTonia Green Moak of Summit; grandsons, Shon Kirkland (Wendy), Jeffrey Kirkland (Morgan) and Jared Adcock (Suzie) all of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Dillon Holloway (Faisa), Katye Kirkland, Trenton Kirkland, Chloe Kirkland, Rainey Moak, Greenlie Moak, Jacob Kirkland, Kenley Kirkland, great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Holloway; New great-grandchild to arrive in December, Ryker Adcock ; a host of nieces, nephews and their families; sister, Trudy McArthur of Vicksburg; sister-in-law, Barbara Stovall, Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Diane White of Wilmer. Al ; son-in-law, Randy Adcock of Philadelphia. Mrs. Kirkland was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Kirkland; son, Kenneth Wayne Kirkland; daughters, Sherrie Adcock and Donna Kay Kirkland; son-in-law, Glenn Green; great-grandchild, baby Adcock; great-grandchild, Chad Allen Green ; grand baby girl Kirkland; and parents Earl and Esther Stovall; sisters, Ludie Ricks and Betty Smelly; brothers, Newell, Dewey and Bobby Stovall; sister-in-law, Dot Stovall; brothers-in-law, Nathan Smelly, Billy McArthur and Herbert Ricks.
