Roy G. Watkins

Funeral services for Roy G. Watkins will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Carl Roberts Officiating. Burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Roy was a native and long time resident of Union, MS. Roy enjoyed fishing along with collecting and watching movies. When he was younger he would walk from Union to Philadelphia daily. As he got older he would ride on his riding mower everywhere. He was full of life and loved to laugh. Survivors include his sister, Judy Coats of Newton; sister in law, Dot Watkins of Philadelphia; nephews, Joey Coats(Patricia) of Collinsville, James Coats(Vicki) of Union, Jeff Coats of Biloxi, Ken Watkins(Kim) of Philadelphia and Ray Watkins(Jessica) of Ridgeland; nieces, Pam Cunningham(Don) of Union and Jennifer Maxwell of Union. Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by wife, Georgia Watkins; mother, Necy Mae Watkins; father, Fred Watkins; brother, Gary Watkins; brother in law, Joe Coats Sr and sister in law, Sue Johnson.
