Funeral services for Ronnie Jenkins will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Justin Chaney and Bro. Nathan Settlemire officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. Jenkins,72, passed away Tuesday, September, 17th, 2024 at Neshoba County nursing home.

Ronnie was born to Alvin and Helen Jackson Jenkins and raised in Neshoba County, MS. He was a graduate of Philadelphia High School. Ronnie was employed for years as a butcher for Molpus Grocery and later Williams Brothers. He served as a City of Philadelphia Alderman for 28 years. Ronnie loved to travel, fish, and Ole Miss. He loved going to church and attending Gospel singings and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Ronnie never met a stranger and was always eager for conversations. He will be truly missed.

Survivors are his wife, Helen Jenkins of Conehatta; sisters, Joyce Houston, Brenda Nation, and Lynda Hancock (Steve); brother, Scott Jenkins (Melanie) all of Philadelphia; stepsons, Richard Boykin (Lynn) of Philadelphia, James Boykin (Regena) of Decatur; grandchildren, Chloe Boykin, Wesly Boykin, Samantha Boykin, and Toby Mac Boykin, and several nieces, nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his Parents Alvin and Helen Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be Austin Jenkins, Dale Hancock, Brad Hancock, Jason Houston, Rusty Houston and James Boykin.
