Services for Roland Scott Burton will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Frank “Gail” Burton and Rev. Hal Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Sandtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Burton, 48, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, July 25,2018. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He worked in the automotive and airplane Industry as a painter. He loved drag racing, winning several trophies, and one being an overall trophy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked being outdoors. Mr. Burton attended Sandtown United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include mother, Wanda (Larry) Alford of Philadelphia; sister, Denise (Terry) Dearing of Philadelphia; three nieces, Dagan (Caleb) Tingle, Riley Elliott, Ella Jai Elliott; one great- niece, Kallie Rivers; one great-nephew, Rhettson; uncle, Rev. Frank “Gail” (Lin) Burton of Hernando; step-sisters, Angie (Karl) Begnaud of Madison; Heather (Ashley) Norrell of Jackson; step-brothers, Robby (Tracy) Alford and Kevin (Linda) Alford, both of Flowood; step- nieces and step- nephews; Skyla, Nick, Josie, Hailey, K.J., Mallory, Morgan, Cole, Aden and Jace. Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his father, Roland Dale Burton; and several aunts and uncles. Pallbearers are Rusty Benson, Shawn Burton, Mike Savell, Dwight Akins, Ronald Joe Copeland and William Anderson.
