Robert Pitts

Funeral services for Robert Pitts will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. from Christian Life Apostolic Church with Rev. Benny Alford and Rev. Hank Pilgrim officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Life Apostolic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 5 p.m. at Christian Life Apostolic Church. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pitts, 74, of DeKalb, died Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was born in Water Valley, MS and was a resident of Kemper County for the past 10 years and worked as a Security Guard for Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. Mr. Pitts was a member of Christian Life Apostolic Church. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Pitts of DeKalb; daughter, Jean Brown of DeKalb; sons, Robert Bryan Pitts (Lisa) of DeKalb and Rodney Pitts of DeKalb; grandchildren, Lisa Jolly (Brandon), Jody Smith (Stacey), Justin Pitts (Lindsey), Clifton Pitts (Kala), Emily Morgan Pitts and Candace Pitts; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Mulford of Ohio, Dorothy Berryhill of South Carolina, Daisy Douglas of Vicksburg and Esther Fay Govea of DeKalb; brother, David Pitts of Golden, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Pitts is preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Bessie Pitts; grandsons, Michael Cody Pitts and Justin Slay Pitts; sisters, Marie Houston and Pearl Terry; brothers, Billy, Ernest, and Donald Pitts.
