Donna Luke

Funeral services for Donna F. Luke will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mike Sims and Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating. Burial will follow in Coy Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Ms. Luke, 76, of Preston died Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Donna was a native of Philadelphia and attended Philadelphia High School class of 1966. She loved being a homemaker for her family and was a devoted wife and mother. Donna had an avid green thumb for raising flowers in and outside of the home and her favorite hobby was feeding and admiring hummingbirds, and she loved to crochet and collect Santa Claus’s. She was a member of the Kemper County Homemakers Club and the Brookhaven Blossoms of the Red Hat Society. Ms. Luke was a member of Coy Community Church where she sang in the choir. Survivors include her daughters, Candi Luke Culpepper (Chad) of Collinsville and Chrissi Turner (Ryan) of Philadelphia; son, Donnie Luke (Lisa) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Jayden Jenkins (Robyn), Cassidy Jenkins, Ashton Luke, Maggie Cumberland, Lundy Harper and Aubree Turner; sister, Jane Long Johnson (Ben) of Carthage; brothers, Jackie Long (Beth) and Joey Long (Belinda) all of Philadelphia; aunt, JoAnne Herrington of Crystal Springs; a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Ms. Luke was preceded in death by her husband, Don H. Luke; parents, Emitte and Reba Long; great nephew, Lawson Long.
