Richard C. Austin, Sr.

Services for Richard C. Austin, Sr., will be held Friday, July 10, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Mike Carr officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Austin, 84, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. A native of Maine, he moved to Mississippi early in life and was a resident of Neshoba for the past 25 years. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Austin was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include daughter, Roxanne Austin of Daleville, MS; sons, Rick Austin (Mona) of Clinton, MS, Rex Austin (Lynn) of Alexandria, LA, Randy Austin (Monica) of Pineville, LA; stepson, Scott Ford of Ft. Walton, FL; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special nephew, David Morris of Orlando, FL; special friend and caregiver, Ann Jones of Philadelphia, MS. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his wife, Dinkey Austin; parents, Carroll and Helen Austin.
