Services for Rev. Wilson V. Peninger will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 1 p.m. from New Zion Pentecostal Church in Neshoba County with Bro. Marlon Adcock, Bro. Randall Dunaway and Bro. Albert Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Rev. Peninger, 90, of Ackerman, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at his home.He was a native of Attala County and longtime resident of Choctaw County. He was founder and longtime pastor of First United Pentecostal Church in Ackerman. Rev. Peninger was a member of the United Pentecostal Church Organization. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War Era.Survivors include wife, Itra Benson Peninger of Ackerman; son, Gary W. Peninger (Ruby Ann) of Ackerman; grandson, Brandon Peninger (Tabitha) of Madison; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Cohen Peninger; step-granddaughters, Tera Price and Nicole Price; step-daughter-in-law, Susan Price; several nieces, nephews and their families.Pallbearers are Brandon Peninger, Harlon Jenkins, J. P. Dunn; Don Peninger, Chad Dodd and Bro. M. D. Yates.
