Services for Rev. Kermit Sharp will be held Monday, December 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Bethsaida Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. until service at the church. McClain-Hays is in charge of the service. Rev. Kermit Sharp, 93, died Saturday, December 14, 2019. He was a native and longtime resident of Bethsaida Community and was a retired Baptist Minister. He served as Director of Missions for Neshoba and Kemper for numerous years and served as Chaplain for The Neshoba County Fair for many years. He served in The United States Army in WWII in the South Pacific and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Rev. Sharp attended The First Baptist Church of Philadelphia. Survivors include his wife, Sammie Sharp; daughter, Margaret (Cecil) Williams of Northport, Al; son, Jerome (Apryl) Sharp of Toomsuba, Ms; five grandchildren, Jeremy Williams, Cecilia Rice, Cerrell Atkinson, Breckin Harper and Kiley Sharp; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Preceded in death by his wife, Olga Sharp; grandson, Terry Williams; five brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be made to ALS Association or charity of your choice.
