Funeral services for Reba Nicholson Johns will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 at 1 p.m. from Linwood Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Herring, Rev. Stanley Pace and Stephen Pace officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 11 a.m. until service time at the Church. On Saturday, November 5, 2022, Reba Faye Nicholson Johns passed away at the age of 91 years. Reba was born to Cecie Bounds and Harvey A. Nicholson on October 10,1931 in the Linwood Community of Neshoba County. Reba was a cosmetologist by profession. She lived her childhood and young adult life in Neshoba County. She and her husband, Winston lived 30 years in Mobile, Al and they were members and attended Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile, Al. Reba and Winston enjoyed many years of retirement as they traveled the states and abroad. She particularly treasured keeping her home, taking care of her roses and preparing large meals for visiting family. Reba’s last five years were lived in Newton County as she was cared for by her family. Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Kay Pace (Garry of Conehatta) and Debra Lynn Herring (Gordon) of Morton; grandsons, Stanley Pace, Stephen Pace (Laurie), Daniel Herring (Emily) and Andrew Herring (Ivette); great-grandchildren, Kayla, Shelton and Nicholas Pace, Anna, Olivia, Sophia, Cece and Noah Herring; sister, Margaret Hardy (Clayton); several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johns was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Johns; mother, CeCie Nicholson; father, Harvey Nicholson; brothers, Horace and Aubrey Nicholson; sister, Shelby Kay Wilson; granddaughters, Stacy and Tracy Pace. In lieu of flowers family requests all memorials be made to the Linwood Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
