Funeral services for Randy Arledge will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Owen Gordon and Bro. Ronnie Gomillion officiating. Burial will follow in Ocobla Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Arledge, 61, of Philadelphia died Monday, August 5, 2024. Randy was born in Houston, MS to Billy and Myra Arledge. He attended Neshoba Central High School and was a 4-sport athlete in track, football, basketball and baseball and he also played football at the University of Southern MS. He was employed for 25 years as a heavy equipment operator and was kiln manager at Electric Mills woodyard until his retirement. Randy was a huge football fan and coached his sons and grand-son’s teams at Northside Park. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family and was a big animal lover. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger and he will be missed by all. Mr. Arledge was a member of Southside Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Arledge of Philadelphia; daughter, Brittney Arledge (Scott) of Philadelphia; sons, Randy Carl Arledge (Briana) of Philadelphia, Mitchell Thomas (Jacki) of Decatur, Matthew Thomas of Madden and Dylan Thomas (Alana) of Madden; nine grandchildren, Braiden, Brenton, William Beckett, Reed, Lucille, Minnie, John Mitchell, Logan and Massey; sisters, Neva Lynn Arledge and Valerie Arledge-Seal (Bobby) all of Philadelphia; nieces, Tobi Lynn Beckham, Samantha Avera, Mackenzie Moore and Hattie McLain. Mr. Arledge was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Myra Arledge; and nephew, Joe Frank Arledge. Pallbearers, Greg Ward, Kevin Gaines, Kip Gaines, Kyle Gaines. Scott Ward, Eric Ward, Richie Goldman and Lee Ward.
