Services for Ralph Lavon Stuart will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 11 a. m. from Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight Fleming and Bro. Earl Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, August 27, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Stuart, 75, died Friday, August 24, 2018. He was a native and longtime resident of the Arlington Community in Neshoba County. He retired from Yates Construction where he worked as a superintendent. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Stuart was a member of Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Brad Stuart (Amy) of Philadelphia; step-sons, Tim Manning (Karen) of Mars Hill and Ted Manning (Barbara Lynn) of Mars Hill; four grandchildren, Caden Stuart, John Brady Stuart, Jessica Barnett and Kaitlin Copeland; one great-grandchild, Ivy Kait Copeland; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Stuart was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Stuart; sisters, Waldine Wren, Doris Eubanks, and infant sister, Martha Carolyn Stuart; brothers, John Stuart, Rudolph Stuart and Windol Stuart.Pallbearers will be Johnny Stuart, Jeff Stuart, Stuart Duett, Butch Hodgins, Harold Willis, Charlie Agent, Keith Lillis and Glynn McCowan.In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Old Pearl Valley Baptist Church, or a favorite charity.
