Portia Parker

Services for Portia Wilson Parker will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Richardson and Rev. Tim Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the House Community in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held Monday, August 20, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.   Mrs. Parker, 71, of Union, died Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was a native and longtime resident of the House Community  of Neshoba County and resident of the Neshoba Community for the past 40 years.  She formerly worked in garment factories, La-Z-Boy, and various convenience stores.  Mrs. Parker was Baptist by faith and she was a member of West Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include companion, Charlie Rusk; two daughters, Theresa Wiggs and Miranda McGee (Daniel); two sons, Jerome Parker (Renee) and Bobby Parker (Susie); eight grandchildren, Jacob Wiggs (Chesney), Josh and Taylor McGee, Casey Parker, Brittany, Ruby and Randall Parker, Hannah Parker; and one sister, Ramona Rouse of Gulfport. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Billy G. Parker; son, Billy D. “Hotrod” Parker; and parents, Marzine and Ruby Wilson. Pallbearers are Jacob Wiggs, Casey Parker, Josh McGee, Daniel McGee, Dawson Malone and Dustin Rhodes.
