Peggy Martin Branning

Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Chris Gully officiating. Burial will follow in Big Oak Cemetery in Kemper County. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time of service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Branning, 74, of Preston, died Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home. She was a native and longtime resident of the Cleveland Community of Kemper County; and owner/operator of Tiny Tots Daycare for many years. Mrs. Branning was a member of Big Oak Methodist Church. Survivors include husband, Jackie Branning; daughters, Angie Rigdon (Rick) and Candie Sanderson; son, Rickey Vandevender (Donna); grandchildren, Rowdy Rigdon (Lora Lee), Blake McGinnis (Chris), Allie Beth Rigdon, Courtney Sanderson, Dillon Sanderson, Brody Sanderson, and Jacob Vandevender; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Rafe Rigdon; father, Homer Fain; sisters, Ann Wedgeworth (Del) and Darlene Vandevender (Roy); brother, Bill Fain (Margie); numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Branning was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Martin; son, Brad Martin; and mother, Hessie Fain. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Palmer House for Children, or a favorite charity.
