Paul B. Jones

Funeral Services for Paul B. Jones will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 1:00 pm from McClain-Hays Chapel with  Rev. Tim Vowell officiating. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday until service time. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jones, 55, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS.

He was a native of Rankin County and spent his younger years living in Pearl, MS until moving to Philadelphia at the age of 14.  Paul was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School and after graduation he joined the U.S. Army and later the National Guard. He then attended MCC and received his associate degree in computer science. He was employed at Neshoba Central School in the I T Dept. for several years until he had to leave due to his illness. Paul loved God, cats and his family first and foremost.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Philadelphia where he taught Sunday School.

Paul dearly loved his family and will be surely missed by all that knew him.

Survivors are his son, Brad Jones of Philadelphia; mother, Shirley Bearden of Richland, MS; sister, Paula (Harry) Poplin of Simpsonville, S.C. and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Jones; grandparents, (maternal) Henry Easterling and Verna Easterling; (paternal) Homer and Lena Jones and his Granny Sue Smith.

Pallbearers will be Vince Ferguson, Ethan Ferguson, Noah Ferguson, Eugene Owens, Danny Easterling and Mitchell Easterling.
