Services for Patsy Smith Edwards will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. John Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Edwards, 85, of Sebastopol, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at her home. She was a native of Neshoba County and attended Philadelphia schools. She lived in Sebastopol for the past 50 years and worked in the poultry industry as a bookkeeper for 46 years. She loved to read and watch TV. She dearly loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Edwards was a faithful member of Sebastopol Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Survivors include daughter, Rachel A. Miles (Michael); son, Joe C. Edwards (Laura); six grandchildren, Evan, Nina, and Morgan Miles, Destiny Sims, Cody and Reagan Edwards, all of Sebastopol; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Preceding Mrs. Edwards in death were her husband James Clayton Edwards; parents, Joe Addison Smith and Nina Winstead Smith; and brother, James Bailey Smith. Pallbearers are Michael Weaver, Jim Farrell, Skip Sprayberry, Danny Sistrunk, Marc Leach, and Mike Lewis.
