Graveside services will be held from Pierce Cemetery on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. with Bro. Nathan Moore officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2023 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Pierce, 79, of Philadelphia, died Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Neshoba County Nursing Home. Born in Lauderdale County, MS, she lived most of her life in Neshoba County and owned and operated Pat’s Beauty Shop for a number of years. She also worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years and Wells-Lamont for a short while. She loved to fish and sew, but her passion was quilting and helping others. Mrs. Pierce was Christian by faith. She was married to the love of her life, Billy Pierce, Sr., for 50-plus years. She dearly loved her kids and grandkids. Survivors include daughter, Pam Neese (Alvin) of Philadelphia, MS; sons, Billy Pierce, Jr., of Philadelphia, MS, and Johnny Pierce (Claudia) of Punta Arenas, Chile; grandchildren, Valerie Ballard (Jason) of Philadelphia, MS, Joey Neese (Erica) of Philadelphia, MS, Crysanna Johnson (Yancy) of Charlotte, NC, Catalina Pierce and Johnny Pierce, both of Punta Arenas, Chile; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Sissy Eaves (Billy) and Mavis Hawkins, both of Gordo, AL; brother, David Wayne Adcox (Shirley) of Gordo, AL; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Preceding Mrs. Pierce in death were her husband, Billy Joe Pierce, Sr., grandson, Claudio Pierce; parents, Sheeley Adcox and Ollie Hawkins; brothers, Frankie Thomas and Jackie Adcox. Pallbearers will be Jason Ballard, Scott Clay, Joey Neese, Donnie Neese, Exo Moore and David Pierce.
