Patricia L. Watkins

Services for Patricia L. Watkins will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Randall Creel and Rev. Justin Chaney officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Steam Mill Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Mrs. Watkins, 54, of Union, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She graduated from Philadelphia High School and was Valedictorian of her class. She worked as the Financial Manager for Byars Furniture Store for 39 years. Mrs. Watkins was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, played the piano for many years, and helped with the youth. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Danny G. Watkins of Union; son, Orry Watkins of Union; and daughter, Hannah Lewis (Richie) of Lena. She was the loving grandmother of two grandsons, Kaiden Watkins and Rhett Lewis. Pallbearers are Clay Byars, Kevin Watkins, Sonny Russell, Gawen Watkins, Rocky Parks and Wade Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are David Byars, Mark Spears, Bryan Triplett, Shannon Hensley and Mundrell Lewis.
