Services for Ora Maude Smith will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Ben McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday October, 7, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Beatline Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Smith, 95, of Philadelphia, died Monday, October 5, 2020, at the Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and worked at Wells-Lamont Glove Factory for several years until she retired. Mrs. Smith was a member of Beatline Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Willie Charles (Patsy) Smith and Jimmy “Spanky” (Janice) Smith, all of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Willie B. Smith; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte Ann (James) Dean and Sue (Kenny Joe) Hanna; granddaughter Rhonda Kay Spears; great-great-granddaughter Dusty Cain; parents, Gilbert and Effie Banks; sisters, Ida George Woodard, Nell Petty, and Rebecca Burns; brothers, Jack, John and Bill Banks. Pallbearers are Terry Spears, Tyler Spears, Jimmy Dale Smith, Trent Hanna, Tate Hanna, and Darron Smith.
