Graveside services for Mrs. Ona Bell Breland Rivers will be held Monday, March 23, 2020 at 2 pm at Golden Grove Cemetery with Rev. Mike Skinner and Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rivers, 93, of Philadelphia died Saturday, March 21, 2020. She was a native and lifelong resident of Golden Grove Community of Neshoba County. She loved singing and playing the piano, cooking for her family and pulling up weeds. She was the piano player while residing at Atwood Personal Care Home. Mrs. Rivers was a member of Golden Grove Methodist Protestant Church. Survivors include her son, Terry Rivers of Union; son-in-law, Warren Hedgepeth of Union; grandchildren, John Mark Rivers (Lisa), Elizabeth Reed (Jon), Rachael Dunn (Ken), Robert Hedgepeth (Shauna), Vickie Robinson (Steve), George Hedgepeth (Jennifer) and Janet Green (Brian); 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mazell Skinner of Philadelphia and Shorty (Bruce) Mitchell of Blanche, TN; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her husband, T.S. “Chicken” Rivers; daughter, Linda Hedgepeth; daughter-in-law, Margaret Rivers, grandchild, Rebecca Lynn Rivers; parents, Arthur and Hattie Breland ; brother, Buddy Breland; sister, Adell Campbell.
