Oliver M. Pilgrim

Services for Oliver M. Pilgrim will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Steve Craft officiating. Burial will follow in McLain Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  Mr. Pilgrim, 76, of Meridian, died Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his home. He was a native of Kemper County and resident of the Bailey Community for 30 years.  He retired from Structural Steel in Meridian.  Mr. Pilgrim was Pentecostal by faith and attended McLain Chapel Church. Survivors include wife, Vera M. Pilgrim of Bailey, MS; daughters, Wanda Dubnick of Jacksonville, FL, Vera A. Pilgrim of Pensacola, FL, Pamela Shepherd of Pensacola, FL, Wanda Jane Smith of Philadelphia, MS; sons, Milton Wallace Pilgrim of Pensacola, FL, Charles Ray Pilgrim of Kemper County, Christopher Shawn Pilgrim of Bailey, MS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and their families. Mr. Pilgrim was preceded in death by a son, John Wayne Pilgrim, parents, Lonza and Rena Pilgrim; and several sisters and brothers. Pallbearers are Chris Goodwin, Greg Vaughn, D. W. Shepherd, Rich Dubnick, Wayne Wiggins, James McKay and Ken Long.
