A Graveside Masonic service will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Sandtown Cemetery. Olen Wayne Boswell was born March 26, 1948 and raised in the Sandtown Community of Neshoba County. He passed away on March 12, 2024 in the Baptist Medical Center In Jackson, Ms. surrounded by family at his bedside. He spent his life as a mechanic, owned his own business, served 41 years in the Ms. National Guard, many of those years spent helping others in time of war and getting them home safely. He was a 100% disabled veteran. Olen was also a Master Mason and Shriner. Above all he was a son, sibling, husband, father, grandfather and a friend to most who knew him. Olen leaves behind his wife, Lesia Phillips Boswell; brother, Mitchell Boswell (Linda); sister, Dell Boswell Thomas; half-brother, James "Jim" McClain; daughters, Angela Boswell Batten (Michael), Brittany Phillips Crowe (Chad) and a daughter in law Leigh Phillips. Grandchildren Talia Webster, Britton Phillips, Addison Webster and Cullom Crow. Also, several nieces, nephews and all their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Ruth Eakes Boswell and Jefferson Harold Boswell. In lieu of flowers the family requests that all memorials be made to Brittany for the care of her mother.
