Neil Bryan Blount, Jr.

A memorial service for Mr. Neil Blount will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Philadelphia. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of New Orleans, LA, he graduated high school in Memphis, later attended Ole Miss, and received his master’s degree from University of Memphis. He worked numerous years for 3M Company billboard division until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Blount was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Blount of Philadelphia; daughter Beth Todd (Trey) of New Orleans; and son Clay Blount (Toni) of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Ami Gillie and Alex Todd; great-grandchildren, Luca and Bo Gillie. Mr. Blount was preceded in death by parents, Neil and Anne Blount; sister, Linda Roberts. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Building Fund, or charity of choice.
