A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 24, 2020, at Coy Community Church Cemetery in Kemper County, Mississippi. Brother Mike Sims and Brother Lawrence Pool will be officiating. The family has elected not to hold a public visitation period due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Funeral arrangements are being handled by McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Naomi Watkins Bostick, 86, of Philadelphia, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in her home on March 22, 2020, after a 26-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Mrs. Bostick was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, on May 14, 1933. She graduated from Bond High School and spent most of her life within sight of her childhood home in the Sandtown community. She was married to Keith Bostick on April 6, 1952. They were married 67 years. Mrs. Bostick was a member of Coy Community Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest loves were God, her husband, her family, and friends. She enjoyed morning coffee with God, family gatherings, rocking babies, quilting, cooking, “her” music, and traveling. Survivors include her husband, Keith Bostick; sons, Ray Bostick and Bennie Bostick (Michelle); grandchildren, Michael Bostick, April Shea (Dennis), Lindsey Butler (Trent), Chelsey Sisco (Michael), Ryan Bostick (Hannah), Nicole Bryant, and Lily Grace Coppage; eight great-grandchildren; eighteen nieces and nephews, and numerous other family and friends. Mrs. Bostick was preceded in death by daughter, Gaye Dougan; parents, Velma and Ben Watkins; sisters, Emma Trevena and Barbern Watkins; brothers, John Watkins, Aubern Watkins, and Willis Watkins. The family of Mrs. Bostick wishes to thank Sta-Home Home Health, Kindred at Home, Sta-Home Hospice, Dr. Patrick Eakes and staff, and beloved sitters. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Mississippi Alzheimer’s Association.
